Military veterans, especially disabled vets, are encouraged to apply for a home in Twentynine Palms, being built by a non-profit organization. The home will be built by professional contractors and volunteers in two days in November, brought in by the Desert Communities Fuller Center for Housing, a non-profit organization based in the Low Desert. The home will be built on a lot on Serrano Way off Utah Trail that was donated by the United Methodist Church of Twentynine Palms. The home will carry a 25- to 30-year zero interest loan for the selected family. Applicants must fall within the income limits based on family size. The home is tentatively scheduled to be built November 15-16. For more information, or to apply for consideration, complete the Veterans Blessing Application on the Fuller website, fullercdc.org. (The website refers only to renovation or repair, but the new construction project requires the same forms and information to be submitted).
