MILITARY FAMILY TO GET HOUSE BUILT IN THREE DAYS

The Tilch family of Twentynine Palms will receive a new home, with an interest-free mortgage, courtesy of the Desert Communities Fuller Center for Housing. The Fuller Center plans to build the home on Serrano Drive, off Utah Trail and Baseline in Twentynine Palms, in three days November 14 through 16. A long-time resident of Twentynine Palms, Lloyd Tilch is a retired disabled veteran who served for 20 years as a Naval hospital corpsman. His wife, Debbie, has cancer and continues to fight the medical complications from treating it. They take care of the 16-year-old grandson, Cody, who has a wide-range of medical conditions that require full-time care. A ground-breaking ceremony will be held 7 a.m. Friday, November 14. Construction will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 14 through November 16, with a dedication ceremony November 16 afternoon.
