FREE MEAL FOR ACTIVE AND RETIRED MILITARY AT CASINO
To honor the nation’s military personnel, Tortoise Rock Casino will serve a FREE meal on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 for all active and retired military. From noon to 6 p.m., at Oasis Grille, a FREE Nathan’s chili dog and French fries will be offered to all who have served the nation (must present valid Military I.D.).
MEMORIAL DAY AT JOSHUA TREE MEMORIAL PARK
The Joshua Tree Memorial Park will observe Memorial Day with an official military ceremony Monday, May 25. The event begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. with a free community barbecue with kids’ games, a bounce house, and vendors. Bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on the grass to listen to live music by the Shadow Mountain Band, Gutter Candy, Mojave Sky, and more. The memorial park is located south of the highway on the west end of Joshua Tree.
