MARINE BASE, BLM, HOST MEETING ON USE OF JOHNSON VALLEY ORV AREA

Representatives from the Marine Corps and the Bureau of Land Management will host a meeting about changes in land use in the Johnson Valley area Saturday, August 16. They will discuss future training aboard the base and shared land use. State agencies, Off-Highway Vehicle interest groups, and environmental advocacy groups are the primary audiences; however all interested groups, organizations and members of the public are welcome to attend. The meeting will be held 1 to 3 p.m. August 16 at the Lucerne Valley Community Center, 33187 Old Woman Springs Road, Lucerne Valley.     For the rest of us, the Marines and the ORV community are about the same amount of trouble. Loud, destructive, and entitled. Let them battle it out, the rest of us will lose anyway.
