MAN WALKING HOME FROM HOSPITAL CLIPPED BY CAR, TAKEN BACK TO HOSPITAL

A man walking home from the hospital in the early morning hours today was hit by a car and hospitalized again. Around 1:30 this morning, a 56-year-old man was walking home from Hi-Desert Medical Center, westbound on the highway near Sunburst Avenue, when he wandered into the roadway and was clipped by the mirror of a car being driven eastbound on the highway by an unidentified woman. Although the man was not seriously injured, he was taken by Morongo Basin Ambulance to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. The female driver stopped at the scene, and was determined to not be at fault.
