MAN TASED AND ARRESTED AFTER SHOTS FIRED IN YUCCA VALLEY HOME

A Yucca Valley man was tased and arrested Saturday morning after he shot a gun into his home’s ceiling and threatened his girlfriend with the gun. According to a Sheriff’s report, Timothy Jackson, 47, was arguing with his girlfriend in the 7500 block of Fox Trail about11:30 a.m. when Jackson retrieved a handgun from a safe. Jackson and his girlfriend struggled over the gun, and the woman was injured. The report states Jackson fired two rounds into the kitchen ceiling, pointed the gun at his girlfriend, and put the gun in his mouth. Their 9-year-old daughter was also home at the time. Jackson fled the home prior to the arrival of deputies, but was located on foot nearby. When Jackson attempted to flee, he was tased by a deputy and taken into custody. Timothy Jackson was arrested for investigation of assault with a dangerous weapon, felony spouse abuse, and child endangerment. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
