The Hi-Desert Water District will be looking for a new Chief Financial Officer, as Frank Luckino has confirmed that he will be leaving the district to become the Financial Director of the City of Blythe. Luckino’s last day at the water district will be Thursday, June 6, after he gets the water district’s new budget passed. He will start his new duties in Blythe on Monday, June 10. Luckino told Z107.7 news that becoming the financial director of Blythe has all the pieces he’s looking for for his professional growth, as Blythe is a full-service city with water, transit, economic development, fire department and a golf course. But personally, it’s bittersweet, leaving his friends and family behind.
