Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and Twentynine Palms, as well as other parts of the Morongo Basin, received measureable rainfall Wednesday. For customers who get their water from a water district instead of from a well or who haul their water, that means outdoor landscapes can’t be watered during or within 48 hours of a measurable rainfall. The new water use restrictions went into effect in June to reflect statewide restrictions implemented by the State Water Resources Control Board. For more information, call your local water district.
