LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES’ ACHIEVEMENTS

YVHS ATHLETES DECLARE COLLEGE INTENT

Three Yucca Valley High School students signed letters of intent to play their respective sports at the collegiate level. During a school assembly, Abrianna Schlickenmayer signed to play softball at st. Lawrence University in New York; Micah Muhammed committed to Sterling College in Kansas where he will play football; and Mariah Muchtar signed to participate on both the cross country and track teams for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona.

TPHS SOCCER PLAYERS GET AWARDS

In addition, three Lady Cat soccer players received All DeAnza League honors. Sophomore Alexia Missett received a 1st Team Selection. Alexia scored 25 goals and added 16 assists. She led the CIF-SS Division VII in total points scored. As a result, she received a 1st Team All-CIF selection, becoming the first sophomore to receive such an honor. Freshman Jacqueline Bolha received a De Anza League 2nd Team selection with her outstanding year, scoring 14 goals and adding seven assists. Senior captain Karson Scaccianoce, received an Honorable Mention selection.
