The 29 Palms Inn will hold a book signing for two authors today. Mari Collier of Twentynine Palms and Carmen Mendoza, a graduate of Twentynine Palms High School who currently lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, will read excerpts from and sign copies of their books. “Man, True Man” is Collier’s fifth science fiction novel and features a family from three different planets. “Road to Soul” is Mendoza’s first fiction book and is a collection of seven eclectic short stories that take place in the Mojave Desert. The two authors will read from their books to illustrate concepts with the written word. The book signing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in the tent at the 29 Palms Inn, on Inn Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Light refreshments will be served.
