A Joshua Tree man was arrested late Monday night, accused of beating his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, Douglas Shisler, 47, of the 6100 block of Parkway Boulevard, was arguing about 11:25 when the woman said he punched her. After an investigation, the deputy determined that Shisler struck the woman in the face three times, giving her a bloody nose and bruises. Douglas Shisler was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
