A Joshua Tree man was arrested Tuesday, accused of lewd acts with a child in March. According to Sheriff’s reports, Gregory Howlind, 68, of the 61400 block of Division Street, went to a neighbor’s home where a female juvenile was home alone on March 15. The report states that Howlind had been drinking and touched the girl in a lewd manner. After an investigation, a warrant was issued for Gregory Howlind’s arrest, and he was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of lewd acts with a child, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $250,000.
