The Joshua Tree Highlands Artist Residency will present a lecture by artist Phillip K. Smith Friday, June 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. Smith will discuss experiments in light, space, color, and form, including his art project in Joshua Tree in which he placed mirrored strips over an old homestead cabin. In addition, the recipients of the artist residency program will give presentations on their projects. The event will be held at 8321 Via Rocosa Road in Joshua Tree. Admission is $20, and proceeds support the Highlands Artist scholarship fund. Reserve your spot by emailing [email protected].
