JOSHUA SPRINGS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL OFFERS FREE TUITION

Parents who want to give their children a Christian education but who thought they couldn’t afford it have an option in a program that’s believed to be the first in the nation. Managing editor Tami Roleff talked with Joshua Springs Pastor Jerel Hagerman about its revolutionary new plan…
“We’ve always had people who’ve been a part of our church but couldn’t afford to send their kids to school.” Pastor Jerel Hagerman of Joshua Springs Christian School said members of Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel who attend the church on a regular basis, volunteer at the church, and tithe 10 percent of their take-home pay, can send their children to school for free. “What’s wonderful, it doesn’t matter what your income level is, and it doesn’t matter how many children you have. So that makes the opportunity for everyone that wants to be a part of Joshua Springs and have their kids get a Christian education, to be able to.” Hagerman said the church is following two Christian principals: send the children to Jesus, and giving of yourself. “It’s basic Christianity: we should be giving of our time, our talents, and our treasures.” A public informational meeting will be held 12:15 Sunday, right after the 10:40 service. Call the school at 760-365-3599 for more information.
