JOSHUA BASIN WATER MEETS, USE REDUCTION, CONSERVATION, ALTA MIRA

The Joshua Basin Water District Board of Directors meets in regular session at 7 p.m. tonight. Near the top of the agenda, the board will receive an update on the District’s chromium-6 compliance effort, next on the agenda, is a briefing on the state mandated 28 percent reduction in consumption, and in a related matter, the board will consider authorizing staff to amend the District’s conservation ordinance. Also of note, the District will again consider issuing a will- serve letter for the 248-unit Alta Mira residential development in Joshua Tree. Those items and others will precede staff and director’s reports. Tonight’s meeting takes place at District offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
