The outdated speed signs at Yucca Valley Elementary School, Onaga Elementary School, and La Contenta Middle School have been removed and replaced by new flashing beacons and radar speed indicators. These safety devices are being programmed over the next two weeks and will then be timed corresponding to school schedules. The obtained almost $400,000 in State Safe Routes to School funds to assist in bringing this important safety project to completion.
