The Hi-Desert Medical Center has named a new CEO, effective February 22. Karen Faulis, the chief operations officer of Palmdale Regional Medical Center/Lancaster Community Hospital, served as interim chief executive officer there for 18 months. Faulis has 25 years of experience in clinical and administrative leadership. While at Palmdale, she was the lead in the successful efforts to relocate and license a 121-bed acute care hospital. She obtained her master’s degree in clinical nurse specialist in critical care from State University of New York at Buffalo.
