A project to rehabilitate the pavement on State Route 62 (SR-62) in Yucca Valley to Twentynine Palms from Yucca Mesa Road to Bermuda Avenue continues this week with lane closures. The project will grind the existing roadway and replace with new asphalt. Lanes in both directions will be closed from Whitefeather to Barranca Street, Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Due to the Fourth of July weekend, no work will be done July 3 through July 8. The highway repaving project is expected to be completed in late August.
