HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS: SCORES AND SCHEDULES

The Yucca Valley High School Trojan baseball team dropped a league game to the Bears in Big Bear City Wednesday. Coach Brian Schoenborn said the Trojan offense was led by junior Jared Hudson who hit 2-3 and scored a run in the seventh with the help of sophomore Eric Hales hitting. The Trojans scored just two runs in the seventh inning and came up short with the tying run on third base. Final score, 3-2.

The junior varsity team got back to their winning ways by the score of 10-1 with a homerun by Junior Andrew Yoeman.

Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats boys’ tennis suffered their first conference match loss to a well-disciplined team of Rancho Mirage. The Wildcats dropped the match 13-5. Coach William Shay said the Wildcats were led by Marcus Simon and Vincent Thomas, winning two of their sets.

The Twentynine Palms golf team traveled to Shadow Hills High School yesterday in a league match and lost 231-256. Coach Grant Whipplesaid the ’Cats are now 6-1 in league and tied for first place in the DeAnza League with Shadow Hills.

The Twentynine Palms High School track team will take part in the Sparta relays in San Gorgonio tomorrow. The meet starts at 8 a.m.
