HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS

The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat track and field team traveled to San Jacinto High School to compete in the Flying Tiger Invitational Saturday. Coach Ronda Morton said both teams finished seventh; the boys scored 36 points, and the girls scored 42.

For the girls, Exodus Blaeul, who earned a third-place medal in the shot put. Medal winners for the boys were Ronnie Rondeau, third place in the 300-meter hurdles; KJ Morton, second place in the triple jump; and the top performer of the day was Andrew Wilson. who heaved the shot put 51 feet, 2 inches, for a personal record and a first place medal. Andrew Wilson and Exodus Blaeul were named Wildcats of the Week.

The Twentynine Palms High School golf team will travel to Yucca Valley today to take on the Trojans at the new Hawk’s Landing golf course. This is a schedule change from the April 21 match.

In high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School golf team will host Desert Mirage High School at home. Tee-off is at 2:45 p.m.

The Joshua Springs Lightning baseball and softball teams will host Redlands Adventist Academy at home tomorrow. Both games start at 3:15.
