In Twentynine Palms High School Lady Cats versus the Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojans volleyball Monday, the Lady Cats won in three sets. Twentynine Palms High School Coach Missy Franz said all girls saw play time. The Lady Cats were led by senior Hanna Beard with six kills. Courtney Stanford had four kills, as did Latasia Benevente, who also had two ace serves. Tatiyanna Mackall had four kills, four ace serves, and two blocks. Marie Linton had three kills and one ace. Koko Cabrera had two kills, five aces, one block, and 14 assists. The Lady Trojans team posted nine kills, two blocks, 10 digs and served 82 percent.

The Yucca Valley High School junior varsity team beat Twentynine Palms High School 2-0. Leading the team in kills was Kyley Beatty with six kills. Serving perfectly from the line were Savannah Sanchez who was six for six, and Alaina Trofler, seven for seven with one ace.

Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School girls tennis and volleyball teams will host Rancho Mirage High School at home. Tennis starts at 3:15; volleyball at 4:30.

The Yucca Valley High School girls’ volleyball team will host the Big Bear Bears at home. First serve is at 4:30.
