In a third round game at the West Valley Tip-Off Classic in Hemet the Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team suffered a tough 40-39 loss to Heritage High School of Romoland. Coach Jess Geeson said Senior Hannah Hughes and freshman Taylor Spitz each had 10 points to lead the Yucca girls while junior Ashley Priest chipped in nine points. The girls’ tournament concludes today with a 4:30 p.m. game against La Quinta.

The Yucca Valley High School Girls’ Soccer team played in the first round of the Beaumont Winter Classic against Valley View High School. The Lady Trojans fought hard but came up short in a tough loss. Next up for the Lady Trojans will be Tahquitz High School at the Beaumont Winter Classic this Friday at 5 p.m.
