HI-DESERT WATER DISTRICT BOARD MEETS TONIGHT

The Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors will meet at 6:00 tonight. Among the items on the agenda, the board will be asked to approve a contract for $2.8 million for project management services for the wastewater project; approve the replacement of steel water mains in Phase 1 of the wastewater reclamation project; transfer $558,000 from the water fund to the wastewater fund for bridge financing for acquiring easements; hear a mid-year budget review; approve a $25,000 no-interest loan to a water district employee; and hear an update on the wastewater and state revolving fund loan. The board will then go into closed session to negotiate terms and prices for easements on 45 properties. The meeting will be held in district offices at Inca Trail and the Highway in Yucca Valley.
