FREE PARK ENTRANCE TODAY FOR PARK SERVICES BIRTHDAY

The National Park Service is 98 years old today, and to celebrate, Joshua Tree National Park, along with the other 400 national parks, are waiving their entrance fees today. Joshua Tree National Park was established as a monument in 1936 to preserve the desert and its iconic trees, and then created as a park 60 years later. More than 1.4 million people visit the park and surrounding communities every year.
