The Twentynine Palms animal shelter is holding a food drive for animals during the month of December. Starting today and running through December 31, donations of dry and canned dog and cat food and treat will be accepted at the animal shelter as well as at VCA Animal Hospital and Pets Plus, all in Twentynine Palms. The shelter currently has 100 dogs and 28 cats. The shelter is located at 7086 Bullion Avenue, and is open Monday through Friday from 2 to 5, and Saturdays from 11 to 2.
