Five men were arrested Sunday morning, accused of operating a THC extraction drug lab. According to a Sheriff’s press release, deputies from the Morongo Basin station served a search warrant on a home in the 60200 block of Stearman Road in Landers shortly before noon Sunday. At the home, the deputies discovered five men, identified as Ryan Schlafke, 34, of Long Beach; Joshua Jackson, 27, a transient; Victor Caro, 35, of Adelanto; Oscar Salcedo, 38, of Pacoima; and Muhammad Zurerzk, 21, of Culver City; and a large-scale lab for making concentrated marijuana, known as butane honey oil, or marijuana wax. Deputies then called in narcotics detectives. According to the press release, the extraction lab was set up inside a steel storage container.
