A motorcyclist was killed last night in a crash on State Route 247. The County Coroner said at about 9:00 p.m., a 30-year-old male, possibly from Barstow, was traveling southbound on SR-247 north of Lucerne Valley on a Yamaha motorcycle and collided with a northbound 2001 Ford Mustang. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. When his identity is confirmed and next of kin notified, his name will be released. The California Highway Patrol Barstow Station is investigating the incident.
