FALL VISITORS TO JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

The Thanksgiving Holiday is upon us, and, the staff at Joshua Tree National Park is expecting a very busy weekend. Campgrounds will fill with climbers, hikers, and day use visitors to enjoy the mild temperatures during this holiday weekend.  Ranger led programs will be offered to visitors with schedules  available in the visitor centers, entrance stations and posted on campground bulletin boards. Reservations for the Desert Queen Ranch Tour can be made by calling 760 367-5555.  Expect daytime temperatures in the low to mid 70’s, but nighttime temps are dropping down into the upper 30’s, so don’t forget to come prepared.  Layer your clothing, carry at least a gallon and a half of water per person per day, and wear a good hat and sunscreen.  On behalf of the Staff of Joshua Tree National Park, from our park families to yours, have and safe and Happy Thanksgiving.  For Z-1077, this is Park Ranger Pat Pilcher reminding you to visit your neighborhood national park.
