EDISON WORKING ON THE MORONGO GRADE THE NEXT THREE DAYS

Be prepared for possible delays on the Morongo Grade between 9:00 and 3:00. In addition to the extensive repaving work on State Route 62 between Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree, the trenching between Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley, and the median work at the west end of Yucca Valley, Southern California Edison will be replacing an electrical pole along Highway 62 on the Morongo Grade. The pole replacement will require that traffic be stopped between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., for up to 30 minutes, on today, May 20, Tuesday, May 21, and Wednesday May 22. The pole replacement is expected to increase the reliability of power for Twentynine Palms and unincorporated areas of the county.
