EDISON WORK IN YUCCA VALLEY TO DISRUPT TRAFFIC, CAUSE POWER OUTAGES

Yucca Valley residents and drivers should expect some disruption during the coming week as Southern California Edison performs some work on Sage Avenue Edison plans to excavate a large underground vault in the southbound lane of Sage Avenue, south of Onaga, Wednesday, December 3. A power outage will occur Saturday night, December 6, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. as the electrical equipment is removed from the old vault and re-installed above ground. A security guard will be on site 24 hours. Electrical crews will return on Tuesday, December 9, to remove the old vault and install a new vault. Electricity will be turned off again from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Customers affected by the power outages December 6 and December 9 will receive a mailed notice. Traffic control will be in place to re-route traffic around the work site. The east driveway of the Church of Latter Day Saints will be closed, and pedestrian traffic will be re-routed from Navajo to Grand Avenue. For more information, call Jennifer Cusack at 760-419-3510.
