The Town of Yucca Valley will present its annual Easter Egg Hunt event on Saturday, April 19, at the Yucca Valley Community Center softball field. The hunt for candy-filled eggs and special prizes is open to children ages 8 and under with separate hunting areas for toddler through 3-year-olds, 4- to 5-year-olds, and 6- to 8-year-olds. Parents will be allowed to assist participants in the zone for toddlers, ages three and under. The event begins promptly at 9:00 a.m., but all are encouraged to come early and bring a camera for photographs with the Easter Bunny. There is no admission charge, but participants should bring their own basket or container to collect the eggs and goodies. This event is sponsored by the Town of Yucca Valley and the Yucca Valley Senior Club. For more information call 760-369-7211.

This Saturday at 9:00 a.m. sharp, the sound of the horn will signal the start of the Joshua Tree Community Centerā€™s 47th Annual Egg Hunt. Families should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. in order to find their childā€™s egg hunt area; a map is available on the website. The six egg hunt areas are divided into age groups. Children will gather plastic eggs containing candy and search for the special prize egg. Right after the egg hunt, baskets should be checked to see if a special prize egg has been found. If so, redeem it at the marked window to receive a special gift. You may also get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny by a professional photographer after the egg hunt. While you are there, you can also register for Summer Tee Ball and coed Baseball!

The Morongo Valley Childrenā€™s Library, with help from the Morongo Valley Fire Department, will hold an Easter egg hunt for children ages 18 months to 12 years in Covington Park on Saturday, April 19, starting at 9:30 a.m. There will also be an Easter bonnet contest for kids ages 5 to 12, with prizes awarded for the best hat.
