EARLY RELEASE PROBATIONER FOUND WITH HEROIN

A Yucca Valley man on felony probation was arrested Saturday afternoon after a Sheriff’s deputy found heroin on him. According to a Sheriff’s press release, a deputy saw Joshua Fuchs, 35, at the Subway restaurant at Old Woman Springs Road and Highway 62 about 12:30. Fuchs had been given an early release from jail under Assembly Bill 109, and is on felony probation for attempting to buy or receive stolen property; terms of his probation include searches at any time. The deputy searched Fuchs and found hidden in a box of candy a bindle of heroin. Joshua Fuchs was arrested for investigation of possession of narcotics, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
