E-WASTE RECYCLING EVENT COMING TO TWENTYNINE PALMS

Do you have an old TV or computer and are wondering how to dispose of those unused or old E-waste items? Dan Stork says that the Twentynine Palms Rotary Club has your answer…

On Saturday, February 7, the Rotary Club will host a free E-waste recycling day from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Twentynine Palms Community Services Center, located at 74365 Joe Davis Drive next to Luckie Park. Items that will be accepted are televisions, monitors, computers, computer components, fax machines, printers, copiers, toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges, wire, video game consoles, laptops, cameras, camcorders, Internet devices, keyboards, mice, MP3 players, VCRs, DVDs, cell phones, and telephone equipment.

Rotary suggests that anyone turning in electronic equipment for recycling remove all personal information from their hard drive and SIM cards. In addition to the E-waste recycling day, on an-ongoing basis the Twentynine Palms Rotary Club will be accepting all E-waste items at Cardinal Van and Storage between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cardinal Van and Storage is located at 73873 Callie Todd, just off Adobe Road, in Twentynine Palms.
