Obedience training is one of the best things you can do for your dog or puppy, and for yourself. A well-trained dog can provide companionship and fun. Obedience training teaches you how to communicate with your dog and is the foundation for solving many problems. The Town of Yucca Valley will hold a six-week obedience training class on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m., beginning March 6. Covered in the class are sit, down, come, stay, heel, and leave it, team socialization exercises, problem solving, and the AKC Canine Good Citizen guidelines. The cost is $135 and pre-registration is required. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations.
