It’s that time of year again! The Morongo Basin Search and Rescue will be holding their Desert Run Fundraiser on the weekend of October 3. The event hosts a 15 to 20 mile course designed to meet a variety of off-road challenges, so you must have a four-wheel drive vehicle. No need to worry though; the trails are maked with “Easy” and “Hard” signs. This is a family event, not a race, held at the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Parkin Johnson Valley with the base camp at Means Dry Lake just off Boone Road. Tickets are $55 if you pre-register on-line by October 1 or $60 at the event. The activities begin on Friday, October 3, at 4:00 p.m. and conclude Sunday morning.
