DESERT FERMENTERS MEET AT RAINBOW STEW TOMORROW

SoCal Desert Fermenters will hold its inaugural quarterly meeting for both novice and experienced fermenters to share experiences, techniques, recipes, and tastes of homemade fermented foods and beverages. Examples include sauerkraut, sourdough bread, kimchi, mead, and more. There will be a presentation on how to make amazake, a dairy-free ‘milkshake’ from Japan. Attendees should bring something they have fermented to talk about. The meeting will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 21, at Rainbow Stew in Yucca Valley.
