DEADLINE TOMORROW FOR TWENTYNINE PALMS WATER DISTRICT AND MORONGO VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT BOARD ELECTIONS

Voters within the Morongo Valley Community Services District and the Twentynine Palms Water District will vote on open board seats in a special mail ballot election ending August 27. Thus far four candidates have filed for three open seats on the Morongo Valley Community Services District, they include Jack Cunningham, Karen Lowe, Hap Trowbridge, and incumbent Glen Shepherd. And in Twentynine Palms, five candidates have filed for the three open positions; they include James Bowden, Judy Hinson, Paul Hornback, and incumbents Chancey Chambers and Roger Shinaver. Others interested in running for one of these seats may file at the County Elections Office in San Bernardino through 5 p.m. this Friday, May 31, or until 2 p.m. Friday at the High Desert Government Center on Smoketree Street in Hesperia.
