COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO PUBLICIZE SOLICITATION ARRESTS

In an effort to reduce the demand for victims of human trafficking, the District Attorney’s Office plans to start publishing the names and photos of men who are convicted of solicitation in San Bernardino County on a website. The first convicted “john” to be featured on the website, Jimmy Galindo, 32, of Alhambra, was arrested in September and convicted in February of soliciting a prostitute and on drug charges. District Attorney Michael Ramos said, “It’s time that we try and put a stop to the demand that is associated with the sexual exploitation of our young women. Our message is simple: If you’re a so-called john thinking about soliciting sex in San Bernardino County, you better think twice.” The Stop-the-John Project website can be seen at a link in this story at KCDZFM.com: All photos and information will automatically be removed after one year from the conviction date.
