COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE BOARD TO HEAR FROM SCHOOL DISTRICT TOMORROW

The Copper Mountain College Board of Trustees will meet in a special study session at 10:30 tomorrow morning. The two items on the study session are budget development and institutional planning process. The regular meeting will begin at 3 p.m. Tom Baumgarten, Interim Superintendent for the Morongo Unified School District, will address the board. Among the items on the agenda, a public hearing will be held concerning contract negotiations for the California School Employees Association. After reports from administration, staff, and employees, the trustees will be asked to support a resolution requesting additional funding from the state to help pay for high-cost, high-demand technical programs. The board will also recognize employee Lynda Burns for its excellent rating for its veteran’s services compliance audit. The meeting will be held in the community room of the Bell Center on the Copper Mountain College campus in Joshua Tree.
