CONVICTED CHILD MOLESTER ARRESTED IN WONDER VALLEY

A convicted child molester was arrested in Wonder Valley Wednesday afternoon during a compliance check. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy went to the 80500 block of Sandale Road in Wonder Valley to perform a compliance check on Lawrence Friedberg, 63. During the compliance check, the deputy discovered child pornography in Friedberg’s possession. Lawrence Friedberg was arrested for investigation of possession of child pornography, booked at the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $25,000. In 2001, Friedberg pleaded guilty to lewd acts with a child under 14, was sentenced to 9 years in prison, and is required to register as a sex offender.
