A traditional Navy Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m., May 29, at the Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms. Captain John Allen Lamberton will take command from Captain Jay Sourbeer, who will retire after 30 years of active-duty service in the U.S. Navy. Sourbeer took command of the navy hospital in June 2012. Lamberton was most recently the executive officer at U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella, Italy.
