CALL FOR ART AT 29 PALMS VISITORS CENTER GALLERY

“It’s Gonna Be a Scorcher!” – Impressions of Summer Heat – is the theme for the Art in Public Places summer exhibition at the Twentynine Palms Visitor Center and Gallery in downtown Twentynine Palms. The show will be on display July, August, and September. Artists are invited to submit one piece of original art for possible inclusion in this group exhibition and are requested to bring their submission to the visitor center Friday, June 28, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Artwork needs to depict the theme and impression of summer heat in the desert, and may be portrayed in painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, or sculpture. There is no charge for entering the work, and the piece must be offered for sale. All work must be ready to hang or mount with professional wire and should be suitable for viewing by the general public. Complete Exhibition Guidelines are available at www.29palms.org. An opening art reception is being planned for Friday, July 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with refreshments and music. The gallery is located inside the Twentynine Palms Visitor Center and Chamber of Commerce, open 9 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
