CALFIRE HAS SUSPENDED ALL BURNING PERMITS

Due to the extreme fire hazard, CalFire has suspended, effective immediately, all burning permits on state responsibility lands in San Bernardino, Mono, and Inyo counties. In addition, campfires are restricted to public campgrounds with campfire facilities. Cooking fires with a valid permit are permissible when there is no other means of cooking available, but all cooking fires require an on-site inspection prior to the issuance of a permit. Warming fires are also permissible, with an on-site inspection prior to issuing a permit, when weather conditions justify the request.
