BURGLARY REPORT RESULTS IN ARREST FOR DRUGS

A report of a burglary in progress resulted in the arrest of a Joshua Tree man for allegedly having drugs in his possession. According to the Sheriff’s Department, a passer-by called to report at least one man was breaking into a home near Sunset Road and Division Street in Joshua Tree. A responding deputy found the garage door had been pried open. During the investigation, deputies went to a home in the 6500 block of Hill View Road, where they discovered Michael Milligan, 28, sleeping. Near Milligan, deputies said they found drugs and paraphernalia. Michael Milligan was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000. He is being held on a felony warrant.
