Tonight’s regular 6 p.m. meeting of the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency Board is a number cruncher’s dream come true. Directors are expected to set and adopt the agency’s budget for fiscal 2015-2016, and most likely approve the coming fiscal year’s ad valorem tax for District 1 at $176,000, unchanged from this year. And finally, on the action agenda is a proposed three year contract for audit services from the CPA firm Davis Farr. The agency will essentially be following the current auditors in their move from the current firm, Mayer Hoffman McCann, to Davis Farr. It all happens at the agency’s board meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
