BIGHORN-DESERT VIEW WATER AGENCY BOARD LOOKS TO INCREASE THEIR COMPENSATION

The Bighorn Desert View Water Agency Board will get an update on their upcoming annexation and consider giving themselves a raise tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz checks the agenda…
Board compensation, or more specifically a 5 percent cost of living adjustment will be among the items considered when the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency Board of Directors convene in regular session tonight at 6 p.m. Also tonight, directors will hear an update on the impending takeover of water service in the eastern part of Landers, and consider the purchase of a couple new trucks that would go into service following the annexation July 1. If approved, expectations are that the Agency would be reimbursed the trucks’ $70,000 price tag from the Capital Replacement Fund that is to be transferred from the County Service Area along with all of its ratepayers. It all happens at the agency office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers.
