BICYCLIST HIT BY CAR IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A bicyclist suffered minor injuries after he was hit by a car in Twentynine Palms Thursday night. According to a Sheriff’s report, the man, identified only as being in his 50s, was riding his bicycle eastbound on Civic Drive about 8:30 p.m. The report states the bicycle did not have any forward-facing lights. A vehicle turned onto westbound Civic Drive from Adobe Road hit the bicycle rider, who then fell onto a second vehicle. The rider was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center as a precaution.
