BAT AND KNIFE COMBATANTS IDENTIFIED

The Sheriff’s Department has identified the victims involved in a stabbing in Landers Wednesday. Kirk Grieve, 58, and William Hall, 45, both of Landers, were arguing at a residence in the 1000 block of Yucca Mesa Road shortly before 2 p.m. Investigators believe Hall slapped Grieve, who responded by stabbing Hall in the chest, back, hand, and leg. Hall then struck Grieve in the head with a baseball bat. Both men were airlifted to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs with non-life-threatening injuries.
