Groves Cabin, the intimate theater in Morongo Valley, more than held its own in the Desert Theatre League nominations. Four productions at Groves have 24 nominations among them. “Georgia O’Keeffe” is up for drama awards for Director , Original Writing, and Props and Special Effects for Dolores Becker-Trost, Lead Actor for Lloyd Steele, Lead Actress for Joy Groves, Supporting Actor for Scott Cutler, and Supporting Actress for Anja Homburg. “Strange Snow” has nominations in the area of drama for Director and Lead Actor for Abe Daniels, Lead Actress for Donette Swain, and Supporting Actor for Kurt Schauppner . Among comedies, “The Clean House” is listed for Director for Wendy Cohen, Lead Actress for Vicki Montgomery and Julie Scott, Supporting Actress for Joy Groves and Anja Homburg. The staged reading of “8” is nominated for Director for Vicki Montgomery, Lead Male Performer for both Abe Daniels and Charles Harvey, and Supporting Female Performer for Marge Doyle. All four shows were nominated for Outstanding Production in their respective categories.
