ATTEMPTED BURGLARY IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

The Sheriff’s Department is also investigating an attempted burglary in Twentynine Palms. About 1:30 Thursday afternoon, a resident in the 73700 block of Cactus Drive heard a noise at her front door. When she opened the door to investigate, she saw a dark-complected man attempting to pick the lock on her door. She screamed, and the man ran off. Despite an extensive area search by the Sheriff’s Department, the suspected burglar was not located. The suspect is described as being between 22 and 30 years old, last seen wearing a black hoodie, torn blue jeans, and light colored tennis shoes.
